The UA Project Rock True Wireless X comes with the highest possible water resistance rating in the market. There are only few that provide such a high-water resistance rating when it comes to truly wireless earbuds. The previous version of the UA Project Rock Truly Wireless Earbuds also came with IPX7 water resistance rating. This means it is water and sweat resistant which allows the user to use these in any kind of environment without any issues.

Dual Connect

This is one of the best features in the new UA Project Rock True Wireless X. It enables the user to comfortably use earbuds independently. Project Rock Earbuds Cons

UA Project Rock True Wireless X – Review

Large heavy case

The Rugged Aluminum case is big in size compared to much smaller cases which comes with the Airpods or the Galaxy buds plus. The aluminum design makes it heavier as well compared to other charging cases. This may be frustrating for the users who would feel the extra weight in their pockets.

As an alternative, they do have an extra carrying case which is smaller in size. You can use it to carry the buds, but this carrying case does not have the charging capability.

[the_ad id=”5005″]

No mobile application

When there is no mobile application it means there is no room for customization. This could be a big setback to the new UA Project Rock True Wireless X. Most of the major brands and popular truly wireless earbuds comes with full customization which makes life easier for the user. Especially, for users who would like to change the audio output according to their liking. However, JBL have not added this feature to add more value to the product.

Rock True X Wireless Earbuds

Better options for the similar or less price

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X is priced at $199.99 which is on the higher side. There are few other options in the similar price range or less. The Jabra Elite Active 75t is one of the better options. It has a more compact design and a smaller charging case. Most importantly it comes with Mobile Application which allows the user to customize the buds according to their wish.

UA Project Rock True Wireless X - Design and Durability

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X has a similar design to its predecessor. The snug fit design is ideal for bass lovers. The collaboration with UA makes it trendier compared to other oridinary fitness earbuds. Unfortunately, there are no color options available apart from the black color. These buds come with physical buttons on either earbud for the controls.

There are three sizes of ear tips to choose from. There are three more ear fins to choose according to your preference. The ear fins help the buds to stay put while you work out in the gym. The ear tips help you achieve the snug fit which in return assures good passive noise isolation.

The lightweight hard plastic design makes these buds safe from impact damage. Another major reason why these buds are durable is the water resistance rating. IPX7 water resistance makes these buds sweat proof and waterproof, which is ideal for fitness fanatics. The buds can resist to been submerged in water up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

Control and Digital Assistant

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X comes with physical buttons on either earbud. However, due to the unavailability of a Mobile Application, these controls are not customizable.

App & Special Features

This is an area where they are lacking due to the absence of a mobile application. This takes away the ability to customize the audio output or the controls for any users. Models like the Sennheiser Momentum 2 and the Jabra Elite Actie 75t has this feature which is great value addition.

There are few special features in these buds. One is the Dual Connect feature. It allows the user to use any earbud independently while the other bud is charging inside the case. This is a great value addition to these earbuds.

You also get a Free UA MapMyFitness premium membership for 12 months. This is an added advantage for the anyone who makes the purchase. The membership costs $29.99 per year, which you will be getting for free with these buds.

The talk through mode and the ambient aware mode are the other two special features in these buds. The Talk Through mode lowers the music and allows the speech to amplified for quick conversation on the go. The Ambient aware mode lets the user aware of the surroundings. This feature is important while you walk on the streets to avoid any dangers.

Audio Quality

UA True Wireless Flash X Project Rock Edition Headphones

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X keeps up with the high expectations when it comes to audio quality. JBL is known for their prominent bass and these buds are engineered with JBL sound signature. The snug fit with the ear tips and the ear fins amplifies the bass. The highs, mids and lows are well balanced, and it makes the audio output complete. However, there is more prominence to the bass which makes these buds ideal to use during your fitness sessions. It gives the extra energy you need to push your self during your workout in the gym.

There is no significant sound separation compared to other major brands like the Apple Airpods or the Sennheiser Momentum 2. However, UA Project Rock True Wireless X truly wireless earbuds do provide great audio quality and it ranks amongst the top brands in the market.

Noise Cancelation

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X does not come with Active Noise Cancelation. It has good passive noise cancelations thanks to the secure fit. Make sure to try out the three sizes of ear tips and the three sizes of ear fins which are given with the buds. if you find the suitable size, you will enjoy perfect passive noise isolations. While testing, the noises on the background were completely flushed. The conversations around me were muffled, but we had no disturbances to the music.

Battery and Performance

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X comes with 10-hours of uninterrupted battery life which is amongst the most long lasting truly wireless earbuds in the market. The buds are equipped with 120mAh Polymer Lithium-Ion batteries and with the additional 40 hours from the case gives enough playback time for the user. It would take approximately two hours to charge the buds from zero to full capacity.

While testing the buds lasting more than 9.5 hours which is still better than a lot of brands out there in the market.

UA Project Rock True Wireless X Charging Case

The charging case adds another 40 hours of playback for the buds. Unfortunately, it does not support quick charge to the buds. The charging case has a USB Type-C port and four LED lights to show the battery level of the charging case. The all-Aluminum design is unique to these buds and it gives the case a rich look. The downside of it is that the case is heavier than most other designs in the market.

JBL have added a solution for it through adding an extra carrying case, which is smaller in size and much lighter in weight. However, this carrying case does not support charging. Another drawback is that the charging case does not support wireless charging.

[the_ad id=”5005″]

Call Quality and Connectivity

Call quality is same to what you got with the previous model. The microphone is decent, but the sound quality is not so great. The Earbuds does a poor job of rejecting background noise. You can hear the noises while on call. This microphone does a poor job in windy days or in a lot of background noises. If your office colleague is on a call next to you, the person on the other end of your call will probably hear it.

For connectivity, the buds use Bluetooth 5.0 which enables the dual connect feature. There is no lag when it comes Video streaming and there were not any interruptions during the testing. We had good connectivity inside our 750 sq Ft room.

Final Say

The UA Project Rock True Wireless X are right up there with the best when it comes to its features and performance. The battery life is one of the main reasons these buds will attract a lot of people. However, the heavy charging case and the absence of the mobile application could go against these buds. Do let us know what you think of these buds and comment on the below with your opinion on it.

JBL Tune 125 TWS Wireless Earbuds Review

We got hands on the brand new JBL Tune 125 TWS. These are the new version of the JBL Tune 120 TWS which was released sometime earlier. From the outset, both earbuds look pretty much the same. However, it came into the market in August 2020. These go along with a few other truly wireless earbuds JBL produced in the last 6-10 months. All of them sound more of the same, but there are few differences in features and design.

JBL Tune 125 TWS - Pros and Cons

The JBL Tune 125 TWS comes with few useful features, especially battery life. It is an upgrade from the previous version, the Tune 120 TWS. What else is new? How much will it cost, and is it worth it? Let us look at all the pros, cons, and the unique features of these JBL Tune 125 TWS.

Positives

8 hours of battery life + 24 hours from the charging case

Bluetooth 5.0 for Connectivity

The JBL Tune 125 TWS uses Bluetooth 5.0 for Connectivity

Either or both earbuds.

These JBL Tune 125 TWS has Dual Connect technology

Nagative

No IP rating

The charging does have a rich look to it, but it does not support wireless charging

No wireless Charging

It comes with USB Type-C charging

No mobile application and no Volume control

Pros

8 hours of battery life + 24 hours from the charging case

The JBL Tune 125 TWS comes with excellent battery life. Eight hours tops most other brands in a similar price range. It even surpasses the JBL Live 300 TWS, which only has 6 hours of battery life. Eight hours are more than enough for a user to get through the day without putting them back in the charging case.

The charging, which is similar in design to the JBL Tune 120 TWS, has also been upgraded to provide 24 hours of additional battery life for the earbuds. Unlike the previous design, which had a Micro USB charging port, the new JBL Tune 125 TWS charging case comes with a USB Type-C charging port. The fast charging feature in these earbuds would give one hour of playtime after a fifteen-minute charge.

Bluetooth 5.0 for Connectivity

The JBL Tune 125 TWS uses Bluetooth 5.0 for Connectivity. Another upgrade from the predecessor, which has Bluetooth 4.0. It guarantees clear connections up to 30ft, but during testing, we had perfect signals up to 50ft. There are no visible lags when it comes to video streaming on Youtube or Netflix. These are primary attributes that a customer looks for when making the purchase.
JBL Tune 125 TWS truly wireless earbuds

Either or both earbuds.

These JBL Tune 125 TWS has Dual Connect technology. It allows you to use earbuds independently, which means one earbud to make calls or listen to music while the other earbud charges. This is a great feature that allows the user to choose the earbud he or she prefers.

Cons

No IP rating

This is the biggest downfall of the JBL Tune 125 TWS. These do not have an IP rating, which is disappointing when you look at all the other better options. There is no guarantee that these will survive a heavy workout session in the gym or morning jog during a slight drizzle with no IP rating.

No wireless Charging

The Charging case had a few upgrades from its predecessor, but it does not support wireless charging. It comes with USB Type-C charging, but no there is no wireless charging facility. This factor could prove costly compared to other brands such as the Apple Airpod Pro or the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus.

No mobile application and no Volume control

The JBL Tune 125 TWS does not support the JBL Headphone app on the phone, which is unfortunate for users who like to have a built-in equalizer or customizable controls. Apart from the basic controls, there is no way of controlling the volume, which means you will have to find your phone to reduce the volume.
JBL Tune 125 TWS-jbl wireless earbuds

Design and Durability

JBL earbuds JBL Tune 125TWS

The JBL Tune 125 TWS comes with a rigid plastic design. This gives the earbuds a shiny look, but it is more prone to visible scratches on the other side. Both earbuds have buttons to control the audio or calls. You will find three sizes of ear tips in the box that you can use according to your liking. You have four color options to choose from. They are Black, White, Blue, and Pink.

When you consider the durability, these JBL Tune 125 TWS earbuds are not that great, mainly because they do not have an IP rating. Which means any water of sweat leak could damage the earbuds. When you compare with so many other available options in the market, this could turn down many users from buying these buds. Also, if you wish you to buy JBL, you could go for the JBL Live 300 which has an IPX5 rating or the JBL Endurance Peak and JBL Reflect Flow which has IPX7 rating.

Control and Digital Assistant

The physical buttons on either earbud allow the user the control the audio and calls. These controls are not customizable.

Unfortunately, these earbuds do not sync with the JBL Headphones app. Which means there is no customization with the controls. There is no way of controlling the volume as well from the buttons. These factors would hinder sales of these earbuds.

One of the useful features in these earbuds is that it supports Google Assistant, Siri, and Bixby.

jbl wireless headsets JBL Tune 125 TWS

App and Special Features

Unfortunately, there Is no designated app for these JBL Tune 125 TWS earbuds. Unlike the JBL Live 300, these buds are at a disadvantage when it come user friendliness. It affects the earbuds with so many other products that come with mobile applications. When you look at the special features, you could speak about dual connect technology, which allows the user to use both earbuds independently. You could use any earbud while the other is charging without any issue. Also, these buds do not have talk through technology or the ambient aware mode like the JBL Reflect Flow or the JBL Live 300.
JBL Tune 125 TWS

Audio Quality

The JBL Tune 125 TWS has 5.8mm dynamic drivers. It provides JBL pure bass sound to give the user a brilliant audio experience. It’s rich with bass, but it does not mean it overpowers the mids. JBL has mixed it correctly so that the mids have priority as well. It makes the audio output balanced. Even at high volumes, there was no distortion detected. The punchy bass slightly overpowers the high tones, but enough prominence is given to highs to keep it balanced. Audio separation is top-notch, which is what you expect from JBL products. Overall, JBL has outclassed many other brands in the same price range when it comes to the audio department.
JBL truly wireless earbuds JBL Tune 125 TWS

Noise Cancelation

The JBL Tune 125 TWS does not have Active Noise Cancelation. It does a good job when it comes to passive noise isolation. The earbud nozzle, which goes inside the ear canal, is always angled at 45 degrees to keep it secured in your ear. It uses a twist and lock method to slide into the ear. This is a major upgrade compared to the JBL Tune Tune 225 which doesn’t have a snug fit.

Battery and Performance

The best feature in the JBL Tune 125 TWS earbuds is the battery life. Eight hours of guaranteed battery life is what makes these worth every penny. It uses a Lithium-ion 85mA battery. It takes about two hours to charge these earbuds from the case fully. Once the charging is complete, you are good to go for the day. In testing, these worked for more than seven and a half hours with 75% volume. It also supports quick charge; fifteen minutes in the charging case would give one hour of uninterrupted playback. Only Samsung Galaxy buds plus and JBL Reflect Flow provides better battery life than this.

Charging Case

The charging case is similar in design when you compare it with the previous model. It has a shining hard plastic finish, but with one significant difference. It is the charging port. The JBL Tune 120 TWS and the JBL Reflect Flow charging case had a Micro USB charging port, which is outdated nowadays. The new JBL 125 TWS comes with a USB Type-C charging port that supports fast charging. The charging case provides additional 24 hours of playback, three more full charges for the earbuds.

Call Quality and Connectivity

Quality-wise it is decent. In a quiet environment, the microphones deliver well. In a noisier environment, the microphone picks up the ambient noises, which could be disturbing for the receiver.

The JBL tune 125 TWS got another upgrade from its predecessor. The previous version used Bluetooth 4.0 for Connectivity, but the brand new JBL Tune 125 TWS has Bluetooth 5.0 technology. It ensures Connectivity up to 50 ft with no problems. However, we noticed a slight delay when it comes to high definition video streaming on Netflix. This tech puts these buds on par with JBL Tune 225, JBL Live 300 and JBL Reflect Flow.

Final Say

Eight hours of battery life, excellent passive noise isolations, trendy and lightweight design, all these features are enough to justify the amount of money you would be spending for these earbuds. If you wish to go for other elements such as higher IP rating, Active Noise Cancelation, and customizable controls, it will cost a few more extra bucks. However, these JBL Tune 125 TWS offers excellent audio quality, decent enough call quality, and incredible power management, making these worth every penny.

Apple Airpods Pro - Pros

Comfortable and Secure Earbuds Design

Many good things are worth mentioning. Let us start with the design. The shorter stem and silicon ear tips are enormous upgrades from its previous model. The silicon ear tip makes it comfortable, and most importantly, it sticks in your ear perfectly. The Airpod Pro is come with the stem, but its design is so slick, it does not stick out from the ear. Most genuinely wireless earbuds come with touch sensitivity or a button, but the Airpods Pro comes with a force sensor. The force sensor in the stem and a simple squeeze controls all the main functions you need.

Active Noise Cancelation

Apart from the better design, the best feature in these truly wireless earbuds is Active Noise Cancelation. You wouldn’t get ANC in the Samsung Galaxy buds plus or the Jabra Elite Active 75t. It does an excellent job of drowning the exterior noises. You can switch from Active Noise Cancelation mode to Transparency mode, where the mics allow outside sounds to fill in. Having ANC lifts the Airpods Pro above many other competitors who use passive noise cancelation.

Seamless Connectivity and Bluetooth 5.0

The lightweight and slim and tiny charging case makes it easy to take it wherever you want. There have not been any syncing delays when it comes to watching videos on Youtube or Netflix. The 5.0 Bluetooth connectivity does its job, providing undisturbed connectivity within 1000 Sq. Meter radius. It supports pairing with multiple devices, and it seamlessly swaps from one device to the other.

Dolby Atmos

Apple announced a huge firmware update which brought in immersive 3D sound using Dolby Atmos Spatial audio. This makes the listening hear music all around you and that’s a new experience for the user. Also, this firmware updates brings auto switch option where the AirPods Pro detect which device you are using and it connects to the relevant device. This makes life much easier for the user.

Apple Airpods Pro - Cons

IPX4 Rating - Low water resistance rating

Well, there few significant drawbacks in these Apple Airpod Pro. First, IP 4 rated water resistance. It only stands against water splashes, which means it could malfunction if you wear them in the rain or get submerged in water, whereas the Jabra Elite Active 75t comes with a IPX7 rating. If you have an active lifestyle and you’re a person who would want to keep to your training, even during rain, you better think twice before you take your Airpods with you.

Battery Life

The battery life has improved from its predecessor, but it is still below average. Apple guarantees 5 hours of music playback with an additional 24 hours from the charging case. Many of the other products such as the Jabra Elite Active 75t which gives 7.5 hours of battery could be more appealing for the consumer. It is being tested, and it provides four and a half hours of non-stop playback with Active Noise Cancellation. For everyday use, it would not make the cut with such average battery life.

No Volume control

The new Airpods Pro made a few significant changes to their design. One is adding the force touch on to the stem. However, there is another huge let down when it comes to the functions of the force touch. You do not get the option of customizing the touch and hold function into the volume control. Unfortunately, Apple has taken that option away from the user. You could ask Siri to decrease or increase volume, but it would have been ideal if there was an option to customize it into the force touch.

apple airpod deals and airpods pro review

Undesirable for Android and Windows users

Unfortunately, Android and Windows users, their digital assistants, would not respond with the Airpods. It means changing the volume can only be achieved by using your phone. These are basic options you get in most Truly Wireless Earbuds. Also, other essential features like auto play/Pause does not work with Android or Windows platforms. The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus responds to both IOS and Android platforms, so If you are not an Apple user, doubt it would be worthwhile going for the Airpods Pro.

Apple Airpods Pro- Design and Durability

Apple Airpods Pro has come with a whole different design. It is undoubtedly an upgrade from its predecessor a shorter stem and, most importantly, the silicon tip. The Airpods had a plastic tip that was found to be bothering many uses. However, Apple has rectified it with Silicon eartips, which are pressed into the earbud through a plastic ring.

These eartips come with three sizes, which can be changed according to your liking. The shorter stem makes it trendier and more compact so that the chances of these Airpods getting stuck with something or falling off have decreased. It does form a tighter grip on the ear, which is ideal for users with an active lifestyle.

The shorter stem comes with force touch, and it makes things easy and more definite compared to the touch sense. All in all, the design is a huge step forward from the previous model.

Apple made a conscious effort to make these Airpod Pro’s as comfortable as possible to the user. They use a vent system to equalize pressure the pressure inside the ear while wearing these earbuds. It balances the air, and you wouldn’t feel airlocked inside your ear, which could be uncomfortable for most users.

Apart from the silicon ear tips, everything else is made of plastic. Its one of the lightest truly wireless earbuds you could find in the market these days. It is fair to say Apple has scored high when it comes to the design.

Control and Digital Assistant

With the changes in the design, Apple added the force sensor as the controllers. The previous model had a sensitive touch. The force sensor is inside a shorter stem, and there is definite improvement when it comes to functions provided physically using the force sensor. There are a few hard-wired functions that it comes with.

Touch Buttons Functions

Single Press

Press the stem once to Play/Pause or Answer Calls

Double Press

Press the stem twice to Skip to the next track

Triple Press

Press the stem thrice to jump to the previous track

Press and Hold

Press and Hold stem to Switch to Active Noise Cancellation Mode or Transparency Mode.

Unlike the Sennheiser Momentum 2 which comes with fully customizable controls, you have the option of customizing the fourth function of Press and Hold into calling in Siri. The Airpods Pro does not come with a designated app so, you need to go into Bluetooth settings, Select the Airpods Pro and follow the instructions. There are three modes when it comes to Noise Control. Active Noise Cancellation, Off, and Transparency. You can customize the cycle of these three modes in the same way by selecting Airpods Pro from the Bluetooth settings.

The biggest drawback when it comes to functions in these new Airpods Pro is the fact that it does not allow volume control through physical touch. The only way the user can control volume without using your phone is by asking Siri to do it for you.

When it comes using digital assistance, the new Apple Airpod Pro responds only to Siri. It is unfortunate for Non-IOS users who would want to try these out. However, the AirPods Pro syncs perfectly well with Android or Windows devices.

App and Special Features

Apple has not introduced a separate app for the Airpod Pro. Other competitors such as the Sennheiser Momentum 2 or the Jabra Elite Active 75t, comes with an app which gives full control to the users. For IOS users, you could customize the functions by going into settings. Selecting the Bluetooth settings and then clicking on the “I” mark in front of the Airpod Pro. For Android and Windows users, there is nothing much you could customize when it comes to these Airpods Pro.

When it comes to special features, the first thing that comes to mind is the Active Noise Cancellation. It makes these genuinely wireless earbuds one of the best in the market in this price range. Apart from that, there are basic special features such as auto-pause/play. There is another unique feature in the Bluetooth setting, which is the Ear Tip fit test. You can see whether you are using the ideal ear tips by going through this test.

Audio Quality

It is fair to say that Apple has gone a few steps ahead compared to its previous model with regards to audio. The Mids are close to perfect. It works well with podcasts and audiobooks with clean and natural sound. There is nothing artificial about the quality of audio when it comes to these Airpod Pro. The bass is average. It is nothing special, and we believe it could have been a bit deeper. But, it is still a vast improvement from its previous model.
The highs are also not that extravagant. So, you would not feel those high hats or high notes. However, we must mention that there is no distortion whatsoever. The soundstage effect is also not so good due to low bass and the heavy emphasis on the mids. Apple plays it safe, and it is perfect for all-day use. Still, if you are a real critique of audio quality, you would find few shortcomings with these truly wireless earbuds.

Noise Cancelation and Transparency

Apple stepped up its big time when it comes to noise cancellation by adding Active Noise Cancelation to the fore. The technology is used to well, and it works perfectly in a crowded place to drown all the exterior noises to help the user enjoy undisturbed quality audio. The Airpod Pro’s use two beamforming microphones and an inward-facing microphone to isolate outside noise from your voice. Having ANC, makes these earbuds far superior to the Google Pixel Buds 2 or the Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus.

Whenever you switch to Transparency mode, these mics work in tandem to pump in outside noise into your ear so that you are aware of what is happening around you. You also have the “Off” option where the Airpods Pro stay between Active Noise Cancelation mode and Transparency mode. You do not have the option of controlling the level of these modes. Still, when you are in Active Nose Cancelation mode, 65% volume would be enough and more to drown yourself in music.

Battery and Performance

Five hours of battery life is what you get from these new Airpod Pro’s. Its another improvement from the previous model. Apple guarantees four and a half hours of constant playback with Active Noise Cancellation in use. The battery life is just about average when it comes to other truly wireless earbuds that are available in the market. Apple’s arch-rival Samsung’s Galaxy Buds Plus provide a whopping 11 hours of battery life which is way better than what you get with the Apple Airpod Pro’s.

Apple Airpods Pro Charging Case

A charging case is convenient to carry around. It is slim and could easily fit into your small pocket in the jeans. It comes with a Type charger, and it supports wireless charging, which makes life easier for the user. The charging case offers 24 hours of playback to the Airpod Pro’s, which is more than enough for the daily commute.
It supports quick charge, and a quick 15-minute charge gives 3 hours of playback time from the Airpod Pro. The slim and tiny design, wireless charging, and the fast charge facility make the charging case ideal for anyone who uses the Airpods Pro right through the day.

Call Quality and Connectivity

The Airpod Pro’s comes with very natural and clean audio when it comes to calling. There is no artificial sound at all, which is good. You can switch from Active Noise Cancellation mode to Transparency mode during your calls. The technology does an excellent job of taking away any white noise or breeze during calls, which makes this one of the best truly wireless earbuds in the market.
These truly wireless earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0, which gives reliable coverage over 1100 square meter apartment with 100% accuracy. There aren’t any syncing delays when it comes to watching videos on Youtube or Netflix. There is seamless pairing, and switching from one device to another, takes only a matter of seconds.

Final Say

All in all, if you are already using Apple products, buying these Airpod Pro’s would be the ideal and best option for you. It works seamlessly with IOS devices. For the rest, there are few shortcomings when it comes to functions and features. However, the Active Noise Cancellation does an excellent job, and the Charging case is ideal for day to today use.
The audio quality is average, but when you look at the bigger picture, we passionately believe these Airpod Pro’s make the hefty 250$ price tag worth it. Here is what we think, please do let us know what you think about these and help our community to make the right choice.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus Review - Pros

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus Battery Life

There are few Pro’s that we intend to highlight, but one thing that makes these Samsung Galaxy Earbuds Plus stand out from the rest of the pack is battery life. Eleven hours of uninterrupted playback, yes, you read it right, 11 HOURS! Eleven Hours are by far the best in the market when it comes to battery management. It goes beyond Apple AirPod Pros, Google Pixel Buds, Sennheiser Momentum 2 or the Jabra Elite Active 75t. The battery duration in these earbuds makes it worth the price, and it sets the bar so high that other competitors in the market have a lot of catching up to do. The Galaxy buds also support wireless charging which makes life easy for the user.

Touch Control Sensitivity

These truly wireless earbuds come with touch-sensitive controllers. The sensitivity is commendable, and it allows the frequently used actions without having to go to your phone or any other device.

Seamless Pairing

At the launch of these new Galaxy Earbuds Plus, Samsung emphasized two things. One was the battery, and the other was seamless pairing. They have done justice in that aspect. These earbuds support superfast paring withing 1-3 seconds, which is excellent. Also, This pairing done using Bluetooth 5.0, the latest technology in the market. Also, there are zero syncing delays when it comes to watching videos on Youtube or Netflix. The Vloggers would enjoy these buds. When pairing with a new device, you would not need to go through the hassle of unpairing the first device to pair a new one. You could easily select the Galaxy Earbuds Plus from the Bluetooth devices list and connect seamlessly.

Use Single Earbud

Sometimes you may want to use one earbud, and fortunately, the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds Plus gives you the option of using either earbud independently as you wish. You wouldn’t get this luxury if you choose to buy the Jabra Elite Active 75t. There are few cool new features, which can be activated and controlled from the app as well. The app gives the option of letting you know when you get a notification on the phone. Also, by any chance, if you are struggling to locate the buds, you could use the Find by Earbuds function on the app, which can trigger a chirping sound from the buds.

Locate Earbuds Easily

There are few cool new features, which can be activated and controlled from the app as well. The app gives the option of letting you know when you get a notification on the phone. Also, by any chance, if you are struggling to locate the buds, you could use the Find by Earbuds function on the app, which can trigger a chirping sound from the buds.

Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus - Cons

IPX2 Rating

Looking at the Con’s in these new Galaxy Earbuds plus, there is one big disappointment. It only has an IP rating of 2, which means it can only resist up to droplets falling at an angle of 15 degrees. This rating could be a huge let off, especially for fitness fanatics who have an active lifestyle. Jogging in the rain could prove to you costly if water droplets creep and the buds get affected. This rating is a massive let-off compared to other truly wireless earbuds in the same price range such as the Google Pixel Buds 2 or the Jabra Elite Active 75t which supports at least an IP 4 rating or higher. Surprisingly, Samsung opted to go for a lower rating given the competition out there.

Noice Cancelation

The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ does not have active noise cancellation, but it does have very good passive noise cancellation, which helps you enjoy isolation from exterior disturbances.

Galaxy Buds Plus - Design and Durability

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus design is like its older version, the Galaxy Buds. The truly wireless earbuds come with three sizes of Wing Tips, Ear hooks, and Ear tips to suit your need. The fact that these earbuds do not stick out of the ear makes it convenient to use. The gloss finish in the new Samsung Galaxy Wireless Earbuds gives it a rich look and makes you a little more stylish and trendier. The flush design is ideal for users who are used to having an active lifestyle. These buds fit perfectly to your ear so that you do not need to worry about the buds falling off place while you jog and clench your teeth while working out in the gym. You have four color options to choose from, which are white, black, light blue, and red.

Control and Digital Assistant

The touch button on earbuds works seamlessly. The primary functions are as below,

Touch Buttons Functions

One Tap

Play or Pause

Double Tap

Answer Call or End Call/Next Track

Triple Tap

Play Previous Track

Tap and Hold

Customizable or Decline Call

These are the actions that come with these earbuds. However, the customizable option would help you have the Digital Assistant or Volume control, etc. if you chose Volume Control, both earbuds sync for that action only. Customizability is quite good but it’s not the same level you get with the Sennheiser Momentum 2 app. The Galaxy Earbuds Plus works with Google Assistant and Siri. These sync seamlessly with any Samsung Android device, but they could show a bit of lag in syncing when it comes to IOS devices.

Also, there is an experimental action which you can activate from the app. It is the double-tap on the edge of the earbud. Double-tap on left earbud, you can turn the volume down, while double-tap on the right earbud, you can turn the volume up. This option does not work all the time; hence it is not recommended.

App and Special Features

The app has upgraded from its previous version, which came with the galaxy earbuds. It has an in-built equalizer where you find the presets and set them up as you wish. Although it does not give many options, this could help you raise the bass levels in the audio. You can control your ambient sound from the app as well—the three settings from low, mid, and high. The app has the option of Find my Earbuds. If you happen to misplace your buds, you can go to find my earbuds on the app and make a chirping sound on the earbud so that you can locate it. The android users can enjoy another special feature of these Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus That is Spotify integration. You can directly access the Spotify from the earbuds. To use this feature, you have to download the Galaxy Wearables app. Spotify functionality is only available to Android devices.

Audio Quality

The Samsung Galaxy earbuds plus have an improved audio output to its predecessor. It comes with the affiliation of AKG, which is a renowned headphone manufacturing company for many years. This affiliation is a bonus to these earbuds. These earbuds give prominence to the vocals, which is ideal for users who listen to podcasts and audiobooks. However, the bass is on the lower side. Some users may feel the punch is not enough, but you could increase the bass using the app on the phone. The in-built equalizer allows subtle variations to the audio, according to your liking. The soundstage effect is quite disappointing. The sound does not resonate, and it makes you feel like you are inside the small room.

Noise Cancelation

These earbuds come with passive noise cancelation. Although it’s not as good as active noise Cancelation, the Samsung Galaxy earbuds plus does an excellent job of drowning the exterior noises. The users can enjoy undisturbed music anywhere. Yet, it is no where close to what you get with active noise cancellation which is used in Apple AirPod Pro’s or the Sennheiser Momentum 2.

You can control your ambient sound input from the app. There are three settings of low, mid, and high. The three microphones used in the earbuds give a very high intensity when you choose the high setting in the app.

Battery and Performance

samsung galaxy buds plus - bluetooth wireless earbuds battery life

By far, the best feature in the earbuds is battery performance. A whopping 11 hours of nonstop music playback makes these earbuds the best in the market. The battery capacity is a huge leap forward from its predecessor, which had far less usage capacity. It is also better than the Jabra Elite Active 75t or the Google Pixel Buds 2. Samsung has increased the capacity without changing any of its original designs which is quite an achievement. The battery management is impressive that it sets the bar so high for its competitors.

The call time, however, is seven and a half hours, which is still high compared to other models in the market, which are in the same price range.

Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Case

Apart from 11 hours of continuous playback time on the earbuds, the Charging Case allows another full charge. Most importantly, the charging case supports wireless charging. It comes with a USB Type-C charging port as well. A three-minute fee from the charging case will give one hour of playback, and a one hour of charging will provide three hours playback time. Samsung has outdone itself when it comes to power management, which adds a lot of value to these Galaxy earbuds plus.
samsung galaxy buds plus review and rating by bestwirelessearbuds.org

Call Quality and Connectivity

Samsung has upgraded the call quality in these Galaxy Earbuds Plus compared to its previous model. It gives a more precise and natural sound, whereas the previous model had few issues when it comes calls. The triple mics in the earbuds play a vital role in amplifying the voice to make it better and make it more user friendly in loud places. Two outer mics and one inner mic work in sync. The external mics focus on your voice. The Samsung Galaxy earbuds plus comes with Bluetooth 5.0, which is the latest in the market. It gives uninterrupted connectivity throughout 1000 square feet, which is excellent for truly wireless earbuds. It grants a 10-meter wireless radius. When pairing with Samsung devices, it only takes a second or two to connect, which makes life easier for the user. If you wish to connect to a new device, you don’t need to unpair from the first device. You can simply search for the devices and click on the Galaxy Earbuds Plus to connect. These earbuds support up to 10 PC’s with Windows 10, which is helpful for users.

Final Say

The battery life in these truly wireless earbuds is what makes the Samsung Galaxy Earbuds Plus worth the money. It is undoubtedly the best when it comes to power management. The lightweight earbuds also make it convenient for the easy while excellent sensitivity in the controls makes life easy for the user.
However, the biggest let-off is its IP rating, which is lower compared to its other competitors in the market. But, if you are not a person who goes jogging in the rain, it should be fine. The audio quality is good even though the base could have been a bit more prominent. The price tag of 149$ is worthy enough for these earbuds.
