Battery life is another factor when it comes to truly wireless earbuds. These Powerbeats Pro have set the bar high with 9 hours of guaranteed playback. Compared to many Truly Wireless earbuds such as Airpods or the Jabra, these Powerbeats Pro proves to be way ahead when it comes to battery performance.
Apart from the 9-hour battery life through the earbuds, the charging case provides another 15 hours of playback, which means you could enjoy 24 hours of playback. This feature makes these truly wireless earbuds attractive to the users who use earbuds through the day.
The Powerbeats Pro comes with physical buttons on either of the earbuds. These come with similar controls that cannot be customized. Add to the control button, and you get a volume key on the earbud to control the volume as well. The capacitive touch buttons in the Samsung Galaxy buds plus or having to ask Siri to control d volume like in the Airpods Pro, these Physical buttons on the Powerbeats Pro are more comfortable to use.
Wireless charging has become a norm in the modern-day. Unfortunately, Beats have not added this feature to the new Powerbeats Pro. Many truly wireless earbuds in the market, such as the AirPods Pro or the Samsung Galaxy buds plus support power-sharing and wireless charging. The battery performance and quick charge feature are good aspects in these Powerbeats Pro’s but, they should have added the wireless charging option into the fore.
The case comes with a Lightning charging port, which could also work against the Powerbeats Pro. Many products in the market use the USB Type-C charging.
The Powerbeats Pro does not come with active noise cancelation. Products such as the AirPods Pro or the Sennheiser Momentum 2 that has Active Noise Cancelation stands out from these Powerbeats Pro in that aspect. However, the design of the beats truly wireless earbuds creates a better fit, which in return provides good passive noise isolation.
The ear hooks and the replaceable ear tips help drown out the noise. It provides quality audio output for the listener.
You find transparency mode in the Apple Aipod Pro’s, which uses the microphones to pump in outside noise when activated. It helps you to hear what is happening around you. The same feature is there on the Jabra Elite Active 75t, and they use the hear through. Unfortunately, the Powerbeats Pro does not have this feature.
If you are in the office, while listening to music, you will probably have to either reduce the volume or use one earbud to track what is happening around you.
When you hear the brand Beats, you can not expect the price tag to be any cheaper. That applies to the Powerbeats Pro as well, which costs 228$ in the market. The price is in the high range when you compare with the other truly wireless earbuds. It could make the consumer think twice before buying these. There are cheaper options such as the Samsung Galaxy buds Plus which offers higher battery life and wireless charging.
However, when you think of the audio quality, you cannot complain about the price tag.
Touch Buttons Functions
When it comes to phone calls, the controls are as follows
Touch Buttons Functions
The Powerbeats Pro does not come with a dedicated app. There are many other truly wireless earbuds out there in the market such as, Jabra Elite Active 75t or the Sennheiser Momentum 2, which has a fully customizable app. However, the Powerbeats Pro does not have the luxury, and it could be a negative for the user.
There is no real unique feature per se, but these Powerbeats Pro does have excellent Passive Noise Cancelation due to the design.
The Powerbeats Pro does not come with Active Noise Cancellation. This is disappointing when you could go for an earbud with ANC, such as the Sennheiser Momentum 2, for a similar price. However, as we mentioned earlier, it does have excellent Passive Noise Cancellation due to the design. The adjustable ear hooks and the replaceable ear tips will help you to find the perfect fit.
At 75% volume, the Powerbeats Pro does an excellent job of drowning out the outside noise. You can always increase the volume, but it could leak some of the audio to the people around you.
Beats by Dr. Dre guarantees 9 hours of uninterrupted playback with these new Powerbeats Pro. This is better than what you get from the Airpods Pro or the Jabra Elite Active 75t.
During testing, the earbuds lasted more than eight and a half hours with 50% volume, which is still better than what you get from most products.
Apart from the guaranteed 9 hours from the buds, the charging case adds another extra 15 hours of playback. The Powerbeats Pro has the fast charging option, which gives you ninety minutes of playback from a 5-minute quick charge. Twenty-four hours of playback means, you could easily get through the day with these new Powerbeats Pro.
When it comes to charging cases, many users expect it to be slim and convenient so that you could take it anywhere you go. The Powerbeats Pro charging case does the exact opposite. It is enormous to compare it with the other cases of the AirPods Pro or the Jabra Elite Active 75t. It is mainly due to the ear hooks.
Another disappointing fact is that the case does not support wireless charging. It comes with a lightning charging port. These two factors could be harmful in the market. However, the fact adds another extra 15 hours for the earbuds.
The microphones work fine in a noisy place. It is clean, and it drowns out most of the noises around you when you are on a call. The downside is that there is no transparency mode, so you would not know what is happening around you during your phone call.
The Powerbeats Pro has the Apple H1 chip, which allows instant pairing when it comes to IOS devices. As you open the lid of the case, your IOS product will identify the Powerbeats Pro immediately. It will take 2 seconds to finish the pairing. On Android devices, it takes around 3 seconds.
The coverage Is reliable for about 100-150 ft and a radius of 1000 Sq. Ft. There are no syncing delays when it comes to Youtube or Netflix. You can use either earpod independently as well.
There is Auto Play/Pause option when you take off the earpods, and also, the earpods remain standby until you put them to use.
The Powerbeats Pro stand out amidst all other truly wireless earbuds, thanks to the battery performance and design. It costs 228$, which is pricy, but that is what you can expect when it comes to Beats products. Do let us know what you think of these truly wireless earbuds, and we hope this review was useful for you.
