Google Pixel Buds 2 - Review
Welcome back folks for yet another review on a brand new truly wireless earbud. It is the all-new Google Pixel Bud 2. These have stormed into the market, mainly due to its very budget price tag. The features are a definite leap forward from its predecessor, and that has made these truly wireless earbuds one of the best in the market. There are few perks in buying these, but there are also a few things they could have done better. Let us take a better look into every detail as we guide you to make the best choice during your purchase.

Google Pixel Bud 2 - Pros and Cons
The first Google Pixel Buds came with a wire which connected the two buds. These made it uncomfortable for the users, and it was going against the trend. There were enough and more options out there in the truly wireless earbuds category, which did not have any wires. The new Google Pixel Bud 2 comes with no wires. It is two sleek earbuds that fit in perfectly to your ear.

Google Pixel Buds 2 - Pros

Wireless Charging and Fast Charge Support
The charging comes with USB Type-C charging port which is the normalcy when it comes to wired charging, but most importantly the case supports wireless charging unlike the Sennhesier Momentum 2 buds. If you are using a power sharing enabled phone you could use to charge the case and extend you usage time. To add to that, the case supports quick charge. A quick 10-minute charge in the case will give 2 hours of uninterrupted playback.
Only 179$!!
Google Pixel Buds 2 - Cons
Fixed Ear fins
Touch-sensitive controls
No Active Noise Cancelation
Most truly wireless earbuds such as the Apple Aipod Pro comes with Active Noise Cancelation. Unfortunately, Google Pixel Buds 2 does not have ANC. It only provides Passive Noise Isolation which uses the design and the physical fit to dampen the outside noise to give better and clear sound to the user. The fact that these earbuds have a fixed ear fin and for some user it would not give the perfect fit, the Passive noise cancelation would not suffice. However, after using and going through many comments from the user, there is hardly a complain about noise cancelation. If you are extremely specific when it comes to noise cancelation, you would be a touch disappointed.
Average battery Life
Google Pixel buds 2 comes with a guaranteed 5 hours of nonstop playback. This is quite good, but you still find other options with more than 5 hours of battery life such as the Sennheiser Momentum 2. These options could be touch expensive, but for user who value longer battery life would not go for these Google Pixel Buds 2. However, the charging case adds another 19 hours of playback which solves the problem and a 10-minute quick charge gives 2 hours of nonstop playback as well.
Water-Resistant Rating IPX4
Google Pixel Buds 2 - Design and Durability
The new Google Pixel Buds 2 comes with a brand-new design. It is a big leap forward from its predecessor, which had a wire connecting the earbuds. The two buds come separately with a sleek mat finish, which gives it a rich look. Google launched these initially in white color, but now you can get these earbuds in four colors. The colors are White, Orange, Mint, and Black.
The design comes with a fixed ear fin. This unique feature compared to Samsung Galaxy Buds Plus or the Jabra Elite Active 75t. it comes in an average size to support the ear bud to stay put inside your ear. This helps better fit while you are jogging and clenching your teeth while working out in the gym. The three sizes of ear tips will help you choose what suits you the most so that it provides a good fit for your ear.

App and Special Features
Audio Quality

Noise Cancelation
The Google Pixel Buds 2 does not come with Active Noise Cancelation, which means it is tough to compete with the Sennheiser Momentum 2 or the Apple Airpod Pro. It only provides Passive noise isolations which is done by solely by the physical fit of the ear buds and design to block or dampen the outside noise to give you a better Audio Experience.

The ear tips and the fixed ear fin in the new Google Pixel Buds 2 do an excellent job of isolating the noise from the outside. The 12mm dynamic speakers boost the audio high enough to drown out the noises and lets you enjoy uninterrupted audio. We repeat this; these Google Pixel buds two truly do justice to its price tag of only 179$.
Battery and Performance
Google Guarantees 5 hours of playback time from the ear buds, which is less than what you get from the Jabra Elite Active 75t. That is in the mid-range when compared to other truly wireless earbuds in the market. It provides up to 2.5 hours of non-stop talk time. Its average but its still good for day-to-day use.
Give the fact that the case provides an additional 19 hours of playback time; we believe you could easily get through the day with these Google Pixel Buds 2.
